Not much in the way of new releases from artists we play here on 99.9 The Bay this week. Friday September 20th WILL see a brand new release from Robbie Robertson of The Band though! The new album is called Sinematic. It’s a film inspired album, which shouldn’t be surprising given the work Robertson has been doing with Martin Scorcese lately! I’m looking forward to hearing this, it’s the first album from Robbie Robertson in 8 years! I’ve posted a clip of a song below, and below that, check out an awesome cover of The Band’s ‘The Weight’ that was done using musicians from around the world for ‘Playing For Change‘. Honestly, it moved me to tears, it’s a beautiful version!
