Wake The Giant Concert A Reality

Organizers with the Wake the Giant movement in Thunder Bay are happy to see their dreams of making our city more inclusive become a reality.

Organizer Sean Spenrath tells us they started the initiative so they could help students from remote communities feel more comfortable in Thunder Bay.

“One of the big northern hubs is Thunder Bay and it’s important that these kids come here and learn about Thunder Bay so they aren’t scared to attend school here because this could become their home.”

One of the major events in the Wake the Giant campaign is a music festival that is taking place on the waterfront tomorrow.

Spenrath tells us the festival has a great line up of artists.

“It’s going to be a legit awesome banger of a music festival. July Talk rocks hard live.”

Metric, July Talk, Coleman Hell are among the artists hitting the stage Saturday.
