Students and staff at Lakehead University are celebrating a new Aboriginal Cultural and Support Service space on the Thunder Bay campus.
Denise Baxter is the Vice-Provost of Aboriginal Initiatives and tells us the new location in the school features offices as well as an Aboriginal Student lounge with study space, kitchen, and computers.
The new space is welcoming for students and now features a lot of light since the previous location for students was in the school’s basement.
It also has less noise since the former space was directly under the student pub.
