A Thunder Bay Liberal MP is calling for talks to discuss a proposed mine in Minnesota which American President Donald Trump is a big supporter of.
Twin Metals Mines is planning to locate the copper-nickel mine in the Boundary Waters area southwest of Thunder Bay.
MP Don Rusnak says Ottawa has requested that we are formally consulted on the project since there is the concern of the potential impact on the Canadian Boundary Waters and all communities in the watershed area.
