The city is being asked to formally push for the restoration of legal aid funding.
City staff are recommending they tell the provincial government to bring back funding that was cut for community legal clinics.
They add it comes after Kinna-aweya Legal Clinic asked for Council’s backing.
The item on tonight’s City Council agenda also asks the Inter-Governmental Affairs Committee to keep lobbying on behalf of legal aid.
