The city of Sudbury is getting decorated.
An event happening in the city has local and international artists decorating buildings, creating murals etc throughout the city. I’ve been seeing a ton of them on social media – but this one is my favourite. The old hospital has been an eye sore for years – fenced and boarded up – the city decided to release the property to an artist called “Risk” … His work is amazing – and the building is fabulous!
So it got me thinking….
Why don’t we do this? We have a few elevators that could use some decoration. Remember when the Richardson Elevator on the Current River was painted? (Anyone have an old photo of that?) That blast of colour was awesome! Now there’s an elevator north of the marina that has been closed down for years and years, that would be an amazing place for a mural!
We should do this. Who’s got some ladders we can borrow. Thinking our station logo would look great on it – surrounded by some huge blasts of colour!
