Construction Starts Wednesday On Victoria Ave

A heads up construction work is taking place starting Wednesday on Victoria Avenue between Edward and Lillie Streets.

Crews will be resurfacing the roadway and removing the existing asphalt and repaving it.

The work also includes a new multi-use trail along Ford Street, between Rankin Street and Walnut Street, and a new pedestrian crossover installed at the Victoria Avenue, Ford Street intersection.

The construction work will also include the removal of the traffic signals at the Victoria Ave, Lillie Street intersection.

Westbound traffic will be permitted through the construction zone, but eastbound traffic will be detoured at Edward Street.

The work is expected to last four to six weeks.
