There should be no worries about labour disruptions at the Thunder Bay International Airport.
President and CEO Ed Schmidtke tells us they have reached a contract agreement with their employees which runs until 2023.
Schmidtke says they are pleased to have reached the agreement to “give stability to all parties.”
He did not wish to reveal the details of the settlement.
The 27 employees are members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada union.
The airport official says they “are critical to the safe operation of the airport, they’ll do everything on the airfield to keep the airport safe during storms and keep all the buildings functioning.”
