The St. Louis Blues flag is flying high over Northwestern Ontario’s Sports Hall of Fame.
Robert Bortuzzo raised it yesterday and tells us he is honoured to be a part of Thunder Bay’s NHL legacy.
“I hadn’t known there were so many guys from Thunder Bay who had their name engraved on the cup. I think they said 26 and that’s such an impressive number for such a small community and to be a part of that is very special.”
Bortuzzo is also the 13th Thunder Bay hockey player to play for the St. Louis Blues.
Bortuzzo notes he’s been home for three and a half weeks and he’s had fun catching up with family and friends. He will be heading back to St. Louis in two weeks.
