Environment Canada is out with a severe thunderstorm watch for Thunder Bay.
They say conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts and large hail.
They say the storm could bring with it wind gusts of 90 km/h and nickel-sized hail.
Outlying areas of Thunder Bay are now included in the severe thunderstorm watch including Upsala, Raith, Atikokan, Shebandown, Quetico Park, Cloud Bay, Dorion, Kkaabeka Falls, Whitefish Lake, Arrow Lake, Nipigon and Rossport.
