City police are charging a 34-year-old woman with assault with a weapon.
They say it happened in the 100 block of North Cumberland after people reported an assault with a knife in progress just after noon Thursday.
Police learned the victim was waiting at the pharmacy counter when he was approached by the accused.
The accused allegedly dug through the victim’s backpack before threatening him with a knife.
The victim sustained minor injuries as a result of the assault.
The woman appeared in court on Friday.
