There is greater cooperation forming between Sudbury and Thunder Bay when it comes to mining.
The two cities signed a Memo of Understanding, in order to promote expansion of partnerships between foreign and local schools, as well as researchers, mining companies and government agencies.
Thunder Bay’s Community Economic Development Commission and Sudbury’s Centre for Excellence in Mining Innovation agree this will expand mining collaboration across the country and around the world.
There’s also some financial assistance coming from the federal government through FEDNOR.
