The Dew Drop Inn is getting $5,000 as part of this year’s Tbaytel For Good Community funding.
The soup kitchen will use the money to install new ventilation in their kitchen, which they say is desperately needed.
The Gillies Volunteer Fire Department also won $5,000 to build a new fire training facility.
Two projects got $1,500 each: the Codeabotkids initiative will teach robotics and coding to local schools, while St. Ignatius High School’s funding will go to promote their drama department.
The Red Lake Family Entertainment Series and Stand Up 4 Clean Up each got $500.
