Bushby To Stand Trial For Second Degree Murder

One of the lawyers for Thunder Bay’s Brayden Bushby says the 20-year-old will stand trial for second-degree murder in relation to the death of Barbara Kentner.

In court yesterday, a judge upheld a previous decision committing Bushby to trial on the murder charge.

Bushby’s lawyers had wanted their client’s charge to be lowered to aggravated assault or manslaughter.

Bushby initially was charged with aggravated assault after an alleged incident in January 2017 that involved a trailer hitch thrown out of a moving vehicle at the now deceased Barbara Kentner.
