Indigenous Peoples Day Celebrated In Thunder Bay

It’s National Indigenous Peoples Day in Canada, the day we take time to honour those whose ancestors have called this land home since time immemorial.

In Thunder Bay there are activities on the waterfront all day.

Events are planned at Prince Arthur’s Landing and Marina Park.

The day starts with a sunrise ceremony just before six o’clock this morning at the Spirit Gardens, then there are opening ceremonies at Noon at Marina Park,

with the grand entry and pow wow planned for 1 o’clock.

The feast is scheduled for 5 o’clock, the Pow Wow at 7 pm followed by entertainment and then the closing ceremonies at 9:30.
