Pikangikum Dogs & Puppies Evacuated

With fires raging near Pikangikum First Nation, the Humane Society has helped to transport dogs from the community to southern Ontario.

20 dogs and puppies were evacuated and are now making their way to southern Ontario where they will hopefully be adopted.

The dogs were being cared for by Northern Reach Rescue Network, a rescue group based in Thunder Bay that transports dogs in need of homes from Northern communities to be adopted.
