One city man is charged with aggravated assault after a south-side incident.
City police say they were called to a bar on Arthur Street at Highway 61 just after 2:30 Saturday morning after reports of an assault.
They say a man was approached by a group of four people, who police say became hostile towards the victim.
Investigators claim two members of the group assaulted the man, who was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Their investigation identified a 39-year-old man as one of the suspects, who turned himself in on Monday night. He is expected to appear in court on Tuesday.
