The final report from the Missing Murdered Indigenous Women Inquiry calls for 231 actions to be taken.
Nishnawbe Aski Nation officials say they accept the reports conclusion “that colonial structures, policies and inequities are persistent in Canada and amounts to genocide.”
NAN adds they look forward to the governments commitment to implement the recommendations through sustained funding.
