Your Favourite Video Games

The sounds like a super cool event! This weekend you can check out Quest: Tech and Gaming at the Fort William Gardens. Featuring eSports tournaments, tech and gaming activities, entertainment, concessions and a whole lot of fun in general! For more info, check out Your Thunder Bay on our site by clicking here.

This had us chatting about video games today. What game would you have the best shot of winning a tournament in? Here are some of your answers from the Matt Carr Repair Talk & Text Line.

Amy G – I’d have to say lock n chase or snafu.

Amy included this pic from her collection. Intellivision! So cool. Apparently she’s got quite the tickle trunk full of classic stuff.

Dawn D – Video games!! I had a problem. I would go in the arcade with 50 cents and it would last me an hour. Lol … Snow Bros and Tetris. I would play those two games every day before work. Lol. There was an arcade on St Paul st called Bullwinkles. I spent many many hours there through high school.

I wouldn’t say that’s a problem, Dawn! I had a problem of spending 50 cents in 1 minute!

Lyle – Centipede. I’ll kick butt!!! 🙂 A FW Golden Castle Fave.

I have faith in you, Lyle! You can always count on a Fort William kid to come through in the clutch!

Frank – Battle Zone. I was 3rd highest ranking tank comander in Vancouver in the early 80’s. Game went on so long I just got careless. Plus the girlfriend was bored right out of her mind and that’s asking for a different Battle Zone.

Ahahahaha! That’s classic. 3rd place on one of those machines back in the day was more impressive than getting a bronze in the Olympics! I salute you, Commander Frank!

I also had a great time chatting with Brian about his favourite games! We talk about games, some classic Thunder Bay locales and find out we may have to have a showdown! You can listen below!

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
