Thunder Bay’s Health Sciences Centre is celebrating the grand opening of their brand new simulation lab.
It was funded by several Muslim physicians to as they donated $500,000 to the make the learning space come to life.
The lab is named after Ibn Sina, a Muslim Physician, Astronomist and Philosopher, who was a father of early modern medicine.
The simulation lab can replicate rare, complex, or high-stakes scenarios known to affect individual and team performance, without risking patient safety.
