Noront Resources is going to locate its Ferrochrome Production Facility in Sault Ste. Marie.
The mining company made the announcement official today saying they selected Algoma Steel’s pitch.
Four communities participated in the initial bidding process which began in February of 2018.
Sudbury and Thunder Bay were eliminated in July of 2018 and Timmins in the latest round.
The ferrochrome production facility will be used for minerals brought out of the Ring of Fire.
