Tbaytel Dials Up Record Revenue

There are smiles around the boardroom table at Tbaytel with news revenue was up to record heights.

CEO Dan Topatigh tells us revenue for 2018 was $193 million which he hopes bodes well for the future.

While Topatigh says Tbaytel wants to continue to grow its markets, he stresses they want to make sure they are reinvesting back into the network, and back into the communities they serve.

Meanwhile, this year’s payment to the City of Thunder Bay is $17.5 million.

Topatigh says this is the same amount which the city received last year from the mobility, internet and cable company as part of a fix dividend system which ends this year.

He says they hope to have a new fixed program in place with the city by the end of this year.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
