You can learn more about area neighbourhoods and make them safer this weekend.
It’s the 9th year for the Crime Prevention Council’s Jane’s Walk.
Spokesperson Lee-Ann Chevrette explains people who take part in their community help it become safer and more welcoming to others.
“Building neighbourhood cohesion, getting to know people in neighbourhoods is a critical factor in improving community safety and well being. It provides a form of protection for people.”
The weekend event is named after Toronto urban activist and writer Jane Jacobs and encourages people to explore their neighbourhoods.
