Police Search For Man Following Crash

The search continues by Thunder Bay police for the man they say is responsible for a single vehicle crash at Red River Road and Waverly Streets.

They say it was last night around 11 when they arrived at the corner to find a vehicle on fire in some grass about 10 feet from the curb.

Police say witnesses observed the vehicle traveling on Red River at High Street at a high speed just before the crash.

A man was seen running from the scene, returned to get some items, then took off again.

Thunder Bay Hydro was called in since it was sitting on an electrical box, with exposed wires beneath.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
