A Thunder Bay pharmacist calls it exciting news.
Bryan Gray suggests the Ford government’s plan to give pharmacists in the province more leway to treat minor ailments is a logical step forward.
He says people are already coming in to pharmacies looking for advice, products, and recommendations.
Gray says this will give them the ability to deal with common and minor ailments like pink eye.
The local pharmacist agrees the proposal could not only help to free up busy hospital emergency rooms, but also allow physicians and nurse practitioner to handle more serious cases.
