Ford Government To Fund $90M Dental Program

Seniors who don’t have a dental program will soon have access to one.

The provincial government’s spending $90 million on a program aimed at seniors on fixed incomes.

Minister of Seniors Raymond Cho says it will allow them to access services at a variety of locations.

Cho says this also will help eliminate unnecessary visits to a hospital emergency room.

Health Minister Christine Elliott says there are currently about 60,000 visits to ERs in the province every year because of “untreated oral health problems and we need to change that.”
