Thunder Bay’s Fire Rescue says they dealt with two fires last week where the cause was found to be a candle.
Officials say the first fire started when a candle was left unattended, and the second started in a bedroom when a candle fell off a chest of drawers and rolled under a bed.
They say crews quick response limited fire damage to the rooms of origin.
They add both houses sustained heat and smoke damage and are not inhabitable at this time.
