Hammarskjold School Year Safe For Now

Students at Hammarskjold High School will likely not face an extended school year as the result of the recent spate of anonymous threats.

Public School Board Board official Bruce Nugent tells, for now, that idea is not being considered.

Nugent admits parents are calling and asking about such a scenario.

He says a program is being developed to deal with the situation and it includes what Nugent calls “online supports.”

The board spokesperson explains the board is also working to ensure grade 12 students will be able to graduate.
