The Director of Education of the Lakehead School Board is disheartened by yet another threat at Hammarskjold High School.
Ian MacRae tells our newsroom he is beyond frustrated.
“I’m not sure what the adjective to describe this feeling is, but it’s becoming dysfunctional.”
CrimeStoppers and the Public School Board have together offered a reward totalling $6,000 to find the people responsible for the threats.
If you have any information about the seven threats to Hammarskjold you are asked by police to contact their tip line at 684-5001.
A threat just after the noon hour caused the high school and several nearby schools to be placed under a hold and secure protocol.
It has since been lifted.
Police have addressed the threat. Students will have lunch followed by a 5th period.
If students leave to go home, they will not be allowed back in.
A police presence is remaining at the school.
