The Northwestern Health Unit has decided to hire from within for its new Chief Executive Officer.
Marilyn Herbacz has been announced as the new CEO, replacing Mark Perreault, who retired earlier this year.
Herbacz had been the manager of Human and Financial Resources.
The Health Unit says with the recent municipal elections, there will be a significant changing of the board in the new year.
Eight of 11 of the board members are municipal reps.
Paul Ryan who is the current board chair recently received the Distinguished Service Award by the Association of Local Public Health Agencies.
