Enbridge Gas has received approval from the Ontario Energy Board to jack up its rates effective January the first.
Typical residential Enbridge customers will see their bill increase by just over six per cent, or $54.00 a year.
As a result, their total bill will be about $925 a year.
The company is blaming the increase primarily on higher natural gas prices in North America.
