Company Looking To Restart Fort Frances Mill

In regional news, there’s renewed interest in the former Resolute Forest Products Mill in Fort Frances.

The town of Fort Frances says Repap Resources Group is expressing interest in purchasing the shuttered paper mill.

It would aim to restart the facility in 2019 producing packaging grades.

In a release, Mayor June Caul says it would mean a return of 263 new jobs.

The mill has sat idle since 2014.
