The city says its Python 5000 pothole patcher did well in its first year on the roads.
It filled over 1,600 potholes in 2018, and Roads Manager Brad Adams explains the repairs are holding up well.
“The patch performance has improved compared to the traditional way that we do it. The benefit of the machine is that it can heat or warm product, which is something the existing pothole crews don’t have that ability.”
The Python was out for maintenance around 18% of the time since it was put into service last November.
