The proposal for decorating a transit bus to commemorate the city’s 50th birthday may be premature suggests one city councillor.
Rebecca Johnson believes that decision should be decided by a 50th anniversary task force.
The city councillor doesn’t believe 50th anniversary projects should be done “in dribs and drabs.”
She hopes council postpones a decision on the matter tonight.
The proposal is coming before councillors tonight as part of a $50,000 project which includes decorating another transit bus to observe reconciliation.
