A bit of a blow for the Doug Ford Government.
The MPP , Amanda Simard, says she is resigning from the PC caucus to sit as an independent.
Simard has voted against second reading of the Fall Economic Statement because it cuts funding for
the French Language Commissioner and a French language university.
Simard was the only french speaking MPP in the Conservative government.
