This week will be a good measuring stick of what we can expect for winter weather this year.
Weather Network meteorologist Michael Carter notes we’ll be splitting the difference right down the middle for northwestern Ontario.
He says there’ll be periods of cold such as right now, mixed with times of milder weather as expected for this weekend.
The meteorologist adds this area won’t be locked into one pattern of weather for an extended period of time.
In terms of precipitation, he is predicting below normal levels.
