Man Murdered In South End

A man is dead following what police are confirming is a homicide in the city’s south end.

Thunder Bay police arrived at a house on the 300 block of South Brodie Street, near city hall, to reports of possible gunfire just before 6:30 last night.

They found a man with serious life-threatening injuries.

Police say the 35-year old was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead just after 7.

No other details have been given, including his name, police say they are waiting to inform the family.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
