No Injuries In Ray Boulevard Fire

A fire at a duplex on the 400 block of Ray Boulevard, near Duluth Street, is not considered suspicious by Thunder Bay Fire Service.

They say they got a call last night at around 9, arriving to find smoke coming from the back.

Fire fighters note they broke in and found a mattress on fire in the basement, which was quickly put out.

There were people in the other side of the duplex that were eventually let back in, while no one was home in the side affected by the fire.

Fire fighters say they don’t know the cause, adding fire damage is minimal, with no injuries reported.
