Yesterday, Kev made a blog post about scary movies here and it got me thinking about some of my favourite scary movies AND some of the movies that I just can’t watch any more!
As a kid, I was obsessed with horror movies, I watched the Friday the 13th Series, Halloween, Nightmare on Elm St., Child’s Play and anything else I could get my hands on, no matter how gory or awful it was. As I got older, it stopped being quite so fun to have the crap scared out of me but I kept coming back to them. I HAVE found that most of the scary movies these days make me uncomfortable, I”m not as okay with the violence and gore as I used to be. So, I’ve all but given up with most horror movies, although I am excited to see the new Halloween movie. Bringing back the original cast again does definitely pique my interest! I have to say though, the one movie that scared the ever lovin’ poop out of me was The Changeling. No gore, no sex, some violence but it’s pretty mild in comparison, just one incredibly scary story with a couple of amazing special effects that, even though I’ve seen it over a dozen times, still raises the hair on my arms!
