The owner of High Variety in the north end is cleaning up after the theft of an ATM machine.
Ken Dziver points to video showing the thief in the store early Wednesday morning.
“The robber had come in after a breaking a window in the front, he climbed through some bars. He went to the ATM, then grabbed a dolly, put it on the dolly, and took it out the back door.”
The owner adds he believes the thief wasn’t alone, but police have not confirmed that with our newsroom.
He claims this robbery is something he’s never experienced before.
“Nothing like this…. we’ve had some glass broken before and stuff like that, but nothing like this before.”
Dziver adds he got a call around 5am that morning from the security company telling him of the theft.
