UPDATE: Few More Hours Of No Power

Update at 12:30pm…

Hydro One is saying it’ll be roughly 8 tonight by the time most customers have power restored across the region.

Spokesperson Taziana Beccega Rosa notes about 3,000 customers are on Hydro’s list.

Over 85,000 were affected by the wind that blew through Wednesday night.

A number of Hydro One customers in the Thunder Bay area are still waiting for power to return following Wednesday night’s storm.

The utility notes on its website several locations including Lappe, MacKenzie, Oliver Papoonge, Slate River, Kakabeca Falls and are still impacted.

Strong winds brought down trees and tree limbs on power lines across the region.

As of 8:30am Friday morning. Click here for updates.
