Thunder Bay police and fire tell us they were kept busy dealing with small brush fires, exploding transformers, as well as numerous alarms going off at homes and businesses from the wind.
The fire department adds it dealt with an unattended pot on a stove at a home at the 400 block of East Brock Street. It was alerted to someone walking by who heard the smoke alarm. There was some smoke, no one was home at the time.
