Winter Coat Drive Underway

You can help those less fortunate stay warm this winter by donating a coat.

Gear Up for Outdoors is collecting used coats, and Spokesperson Jon Wynn tells us it’s something that’s badly needed.

“There are so many people who are homeless, and have fallen on hard times and bad luck and just can’t afford to buy a jacket. The City of Thunder Bay always has a generous heart, and it’s great to be involved in this” Wynne explained.

The business will be collecting coats at their store on Alloy Place up until December 20th.

If you donate your coat you will receive a 15% discount on a new insulated jacket and will be entered in a draw to receive one of six $100 gift cards to the Keg Steakhouse and Bar.

Children’s jackets will be donated to Precious Bundles, while Shelter House, Grace Place and the Clothing Assistance will share the coats for adults.
