Warm & Wet September

Environment Canada is reporting we saw more rain last month than in previous years.

Spokesperson Gerald Cheng tells us most of the rain came in the second half of September.

“Usually we get about 87.5 millimetres of rain, but we got about 95, so we were slightly above normal for precipitation as well. ”

September was also slightly warmer than usual.

Cheng explains our average temperature for September is 17.1 degrees, and we saw it come in at 18.6.

The hottest it got last month was 28 degrees on September 14th.
