Tonight’s your chance to share your thoughts on the city’s new truck route for big rigs and other large vehicles.
An open house on the proposed route is being held at the Italian Cultural Centre from 4:30 until 6:30.
Engineering Director Kayla Dixon admits they’ve had some negative feedback on this issue in the past.
“We have received mixed feedback from public and businesses. Some people are very supportive and some have concerns. I expect we’ll hear those again tonight.”
The route includes Highway 61 and Highway 11/17, and through the city transports are limited to the Harbour Expressway, Main Street and Island Drive.
