A new development has emerged in the court case against Mayor Keith Hobbs and his wife.
The prosecution isn’t proceeding on an obstruction of justice charge against the couple.
Prosecutor Peter Keen hasn’t laid an indictment on that charge based on the preliminary hearing judge’s comments.
The Hobbs’ are still facing an extortion charge, as is their, co-accused Mary Voss.
All three weren’t in court today, and their next court date is set for October 29th.
A trial date has yet to be set. Officials say they are using this time to look for a conflict free judge.
