You can spotlight one of your local heroes while supporting a good cause.
George Jeffrey Children’s Foundation spokesperson Kirsten Untinen says for $2, $5, or $10, you can help three local charities and have your hero’s name displayed at a local business for the Who Is Your Hometown Hero project.
It’s in support of the Foundation, along with the children’s charities PRO Kids and FIREFLY.
“It’s an initiative that’s out across northwestern Ontario already, but now we’re starting to do a big push here in Thunder Bay,” Untinen explains.
Organizers say you can recognize anyone who makes your day brighter, by dropping by the Children’s Foundation, Gillon’s, Tbaytel, Bombardier, or going to their website.
The fundraiser is on until the end of October.
