It’s National Hunting, Trapping and Fishing Heritage Day.
Students at Kingsway Park Public School spend yesterday honouring the great outdoors and learning about the many local opportunities and venues to camp, fish and hunt.
They spoke with members of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, the Sportsman’s Alliance, a school archery program and the local Trappers Association.
To test out activities, they took part in a 3D archery competition and practiced casting fishing rods.
