Addictions Centre Being Proposed

If city council approves, the Thunder Bay Inn on Dawson Road will be turned into a building to house a program for people recovering from addictions.

St. Joseph’s Care Group will run the program and spokesperson Scott Potts explains the location is ideal for the program.

Before the building can be purchased, Scott tells us, the property must have a zoning change from commercial to residential.

While the St. Joseph’s official expects there will be some residents opposed to the proposal, he is confident they have addressed and concerns and it will be approved.
