Crash Issues Plea From Owner

A plea from the owner of Gary’s Towing in Thunder Bay for drivers to slow down and move over when approaching emergency vehicles on the side of the road.

David Allen points to a collision between one of his trucks and a car just after midnight on Red River Road near the Expressway, while the truck was parked on a service call.

He says there were no injuries, the car is a write off, the truck sustained minor damage.

Allen understands from police no alcohol was involved, but claims the driver was very unpleasant, and wondered why the truck was in the middle of the road.

The owner adds local police have done a Facebook video showing about 60 cars in 20 minutes fail to move over for flashing lights.

Allen points to drivers in other parts of the country and the US being killed in similar situations.
